Ok guys, I know I have been slacking on updating this site, and iam verrrry sorry. I just have been so busy this past month. Between going to California, and Florida, and just other stuff at home. Sorry about it all, but here I am! Haven't forgot about this site! Anyway, back to the real topic. I just started my 3rd month on Accutane, and things are going pretty smoothly. No real new side effects; just the usual. Dry lips, dry nose, minor back ache every now and then, occassional rashes on my arms, sensitivity to shaving. I found out something interesting; I know your doctor will say to avoid the sunlight as you are very photosensitive but as I was in California and Florida this past month, I was out in the sun ALOT, and I must say, was nothing like how I figured it would be. Before I went on Accutane I had no problem ever going out in the sun, I would never burn, or have to put on sunblock really. I figured once I got on Accutane I would be using sunblock by the pound. But as I was out there, I didnt use sunblock once. Could just be my skin type and how braziliant it seems to be to the sun. The only thing that has possibly sunblock in it is my lotion I put on my face every morning (Spf 15). I know some of you may be having problems shaving, and here is my only advice. 1) Use an electric razor, and try not to keep going over the same area over and over to aggrivate that area. Or 2) Use a 2blade or less razor, buy some neutrogena shave cream, and always use some neutrogena or clearasil or some lotion after shaving. Best advice to give. Like I said last time I wrote, that I would try and stop picking my face. I must say, it does help to not pick, and try to keep your hands off your face as much as possible; also try to keep dirty things away from your face, and if things have to be near your face, make sure they are bacteria free. Stuff like cell phones, just wipe off with a disinfectant cloth or something. But ya, try not to pick your face as much as possible. Even if I have a small white head, unless iam in the shower or my pores are open, I will usually just leave it. Well that should do it for this week/past weeks ive missed.
